Things to do
There is lots to see and do. Try the local food and drink, enjoy the scenery, set sail along the Blackwater or just go for a wander.
Keep busy or just relax, it’s really up to you. Have a walk, cycle or just a stroll. There is lots to see and do in Maldon and the surrounding areas. Shopping, eating out, bars, visit Promenade Park (which has lots to do and many events happening there throughout the year), take a boat trip, watch the Regatta, attend the many seasonal events or watch the famous Maldon Mud Race.
Contact Maldon Tourist Information Office and Visit Maldon to find all the things that are happening locally.
With private access for our visitors, take a walk along the side of the fields and head along the Sea Wall into Maldon (45 minute walk or 5 mins by car). Walk the other way and you will find the village of Mundon which has a lovely pub (The White Horse), a beautiful Grade I listed church (St. Marys), some very cool 'petrified' oak trees (a little walk away behind the church) and a small wood which is lovely in the changing seasons.
For walking enthusiasts, we are not far away from St Peter's Way (PDF of map link) and half a mile/10 min walk from the Essex Coastal Path. Great for an overnight break to replenish your energy!
